With its lunar landscape, the Antitlas is an excursion of the most rewarding. Still relatively remote they impress its wide desolate and stony plateaus, furrowed by deep canyons that hide palm groves and greenery oasis that seem impossible in the midst of so much desolation; its naked mountains tattooed of multiple strata that show its geological history; the sharp ridges of the imposing granite massif of the Jbel Lekst and the valleys at its feet; the hills with their terraces for the cultivation of cereal, mottled with almond and argan.

Rif Mountain Range

Despite not having a good reputation, the Rif has magnificent peaks, mountains, gorges and valleys, as well as large areas of cedar and spruce forests populated with Berber monkeys. It is a mountain range that runs parallel to the Mediterranean and of the same origin as the Betic Mountain Ranges (alpine folding). Dromedary surfing

Sidi Kaouki is one of those somewhat wild corners, a little shabby, that you can find if you travel this coast, a long beach of fine sand where surf lovers enjoy a virgin territory with just half a dozen hippie air restaurants and hotels. Dahla in Western Sahara is another paradise for kitesurfing. The Río de Oro peninsula is a 40-kilometer strip that runs parallel to the African continent.

Climbing

Climbing

Morocco is also an international climbing destination. An example is the Todra gorge or the Taghia oasis, a circus with limestone walls of up to 800 meters, each more spectacular.
