If, due to circumstances, you do not have time and you have to give up any of them, do not worry... you will surely repeat to complete the list!

sunrise-in-the-desert

The sunrise in the desert

Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, is a little piece of the Sahara that will remain forever in your memory. A magical place composed of golden dunes that go, throughout the day depending on the angle at which the sun's rays affect you, from yellow to orange, going through an infinite number of shades. But the desert is not just dunes, it is a kilometric extension dotted with small villages, lonely acacias and palm tree oasis that makes you travel to another world. The silence, the stars, its energy, the authenticity of its people, the isolation of the place, the vastness, the arid landscape, its extension, seeing a horizon practically as far away as the sea, the way of life of its inhabitants and Of course of the nomads, I wouldn't know how to tell you exactly, but there is something in this place that makes time stop and only the here and now matter. If you take enough time here you will understand in all its magnitude the meaning of living anchored to land. One night in a camp in the dunes, after a dromedary ride, with fire, drums and the moon, will be something to remember, but not the only thing, because the landscapes you will enjoy until you get here make all the World curves (there are) deserve it.

Atlantic coast beaches

Atlantic coast beaches

Morocco isn’t just winding souks and desert dunes: it’s also 1,200 miles of coastline running along the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. Along the coast, charming harbors, busy fishing ports and picturesque beach towns abound – they’re just as diverse as Morocco’s interior. There are many Moroccan coastal towns waiting to be explored, most of which are completely off the radar destinations. Aside from Agadir and its package holiday resorts, most of Morocco’s coastal towns actually remain largely untouched making them ideal for laid back travelers curious to get to know Morocco off the beaten path. From stress-free medinas to incredible mountain backdrops, our top 5 Moroccan coastal towns have it all. Take your pick and spend your Moroccan getaway taking easy strolls along the beach.

A night in a Riad

A night in a Riad

The riads are typical accommodations of the city medinas. Old palaces recovered with pleasure, like small hotels with charm. They are cheaper than hotels to use and with much more history and character. These houses are built around a small patio or garden and I would say they are the origin of what in Spain we call houses with Andalusian patio. Its terraces are perfect places for breakfast or to rest having tea and enjoying the sound of the birds, after a busy day of kicking the medina, as if it were an oasis in the labyrinthine, busy and busy medina. They are usually run by families, many of them have small hammen and have the option of dining in them. They will make you feel like in the stories of a thousand and one nights.

A day of shopping in the medina

A day of shopping in the medina

It will not be all tranquility, stars, walks and relax... that we are in Morocco! Kick and lose yourself in the medina, haggle, come to sell you everything, start a conversation with strangers, have a tea in the back room... these are all experiences that you can not stop living here. Relax, enjoy it, let yourself go, put a price on your head to what you want to buy, invest time in getting a fair price and have fun interacting with the natives, it is a fundamental part of the country you have to live. Moroccan craftsmanship is wonderful: vessels, jewels, scarves and turbans, chilabas, carpets, spices, herbs and essences, argan oil and roses, baskets, furniture, copper, fossils , minerals, henna tattoos... You will find true jewels and want take it all! Of course the medinas are perfect places to enjoy Moroccan cuisine. But this deserves a separate chapter...

visitThe-Hammam

Visit The Hammam

The hamman or Arab bath is a little less than heavenly experience for someone who goes for the first time, and if you think I'm exaggerating tell me about it. Letting them wash you, rub you, throw buckets of hot water, massage you and pamper you is a real pleasure. You go lighter, as if with the glove they had taken part of the load that went with you, and the smile and the brightness make it compensate the investment of a private hamman. Totally recommended. And if you are lucky enough to have someone accompany you to a public hamman... don't hesitate! Especially if you are a woman. Seeing Moroccan women uninhibited, relaxed, on their land and away from the presence and look of men will make you see them in a completely different way. Of course you can go without a "guide", do it yourself imitating those around you, it will not be the same but the laughs are guaranteed, or hire the services of the public hamman staff.

A walk through the Atlas

A walk through the Atlas

It crosses the country from north to south, its highest peak is more than 4000 m and the road crosses it to more than 2000 m. You have no choice but to cross the Atlas if you want to reach the desert, so take the opportunity, stop along the way, get out of the car, stretch your legs that will thank you, put on your boots and take a walk. Choose the valley you want from the Atlas or the anti-Atlas and take a trip through space. I guess we will have to give thanks to the cinema but surely it is not far from reality, you will feel that you are on the moon, Mars or Jupiter. If you have more time and the mountain goes, there are lost valleys and isolated villages that are worth spending a day or two to visit. Make your list of essentials, choose the places you want to visit, tell us the days you have and we design the route together!
